There are some parts of this book that I liked quite a bit, mostly in the first half. The back half
did not work for me as much. I understand the desire to introduce conflict that the characters need to overcome and to break them up at some point, but I found the multiple instances of one character abandoning the other for things that could/should have been addressed by not ignoring the other completely to be a bit trying. And the train wreck that was their London experience was a bit too long and drawn out for my liking (we can all agree that tabloid journalists are scum).
Regardless, there were many things to enjoy about this book, especially if you’ve read the first book in the series.

I really enjoyed the first in the series but this one is filled with so much redundant information, loads of exposition and stiff, unnatural dialogue that I legitimately struggled to finish.

I love that one of the main characters in this story is on the spectrum and they find someone who understands them, is patient, and doesn't try to fix them.  There are communication lessons taught in this book.  This isn't an easy going love story; there are emotional highs and lows.  I had to personally grind through some parts because, well.....feelings and saying "WTF, WHY ARE YOU DOING THAT?"  But overall, Nicole Pyland has a new fan.

I loved Lennox in book 1 of the series, and love her even more in this one. I also adore Kenzie because she is so relatable, and her relationship with Lennox is so beautiful it hurts.

Pyland always writes about wonderful characters who have their own lives in addition to the romance and I appreciated Lennox’s character arc. Also, this book is own-voices for autism and sapphic love.

Though this one was probably written earlier than No After You, I think there is added layer to Peyton’s character. Her, Dani, and the “celebrity gang” friendship make me tear up multiple times. The support system they have is amazing. I cannot wait for Maddox’s love story in Midnight Tradition.

P.S. I have no idea if there would be a more complete review, but these are my initial thoughts.

This may be my new favorite sapphic romance story! I absolutely adore Lennox and Kenzie. This story was so well written! The tension, the growth and the understanding between the two leads was portrayed amazingly! This story gave me butterflies through the experience! This story is so good, I’m about to listen to it again immediately. Run, don’t walk to this book! It was absolutely stunning!
