Not as bad as I feared it would be. Not amazing either. And honestly, I wouldn't be able to give you a résumé of it.
Good if you want to enlarge your French classics culture and don't want to spend too much time on it (it's just 30 pages long).

Written probably in February 1830, this tale was published in the periodical Mode in March of the same year, signed as: "The author of the Physiologie du marriage." It has suffered largely the same avatars as Madame Firmiani: October 1831 included in the novels and Romans et Contesand stayed in Scenes de la vie parisienne in 1835, under the title of Profil de marquise, and in 1842, with its title in the Scenes de la vie privee.
