This book definitely showed why you shy or judge someone else based on appearances or even what you may see because you honestly don’t know the entire story behind someone. 

Tegan is 8 months pregnant and needing to get away for a few days so decides to take a trip to visit her brother. What’s supposed to be a stress free trip turns into a nightmare when she gets caught in a blizzard on the way there. Will she make it out alive will her baby? 

I absolutely loved this book and Frieda is becoming on of my favorite authors! I am just burning through her books! Can’t wait to read the next one!

I was absolutely shocked and horrified to find out that the entire plot centres around the aftermath of a sexual assault. Why did the book not include any sort of content warning or allude to it in the synopsis??? 
It is also not a spoiler because we find out about it very early on in the story.

Tegan was SO irritating, immature, and just plain stupid.

The inner dialogue was so repetitive and made the story drag on.

None of the twists caught me by surprise. The plot also felt very sloppy and didn’t hold my attention.

I’m a newer Freida fan and I’m so disappointed.

In Freida McFadden style, this was a page turner and I basically read it in one sitting. It was fast paced with lots of twists and turns. I do enjoy the sort of locked room trope in thrillers, and liked the concept of the book, but felt like there wasn’t a ton that happened in the middle of the book. The stakes were still high, but it slowed down a bit. Overall, I enjoyed this book and recommend it for a quick thriller!
