freidas done it again, i felt so uncomfortable like i was literally in the room reading about what went down in the basement. i love hank sm and im happy he got his happy ending <3

but i think this one, again, was a little meh for me - ive read too many freida thrillers in quick succession that they aren't as shocking for me atm

This book was terrible. The story was cringey. The writing was repetitive. Every character was more pathetic than the next.

This story particularly dragged on, but I still enjoyed seeing it come to an end.

The most shocking part of this story was how stupid the characters were.

In Freida McFadden style, this was a page turner and I basically read it in one sitting. It was fast paced with lots of twists and turns. I do enjoy the sort of locked room trope in thrillers, and liked the concept of the book, but felt like there wasn’t a ton that happened in the middle of the book. The stakes were still high, but it slowed down a bit. Overall, I enjoyed this book and recommend it for a quick thriller!
