In Freida McFadden style, this was a page turner and I basically read it in one sitting. It was fast paced with lots of twists and turns. I do enjoy the sort of locked room trope in thrillers, and liked the concept of the book, but felt like there wasn’t a ton that happened in the middle of the book. The stakes were still high, but it slowed down a bit. Overall, I enjoyed this book and recommend it for a quick thriller!

This book gives major "Misery" vibes. It grabs you from the very 1st chapter and keeps you engaged the whole book. Slightly different from her other books, this book has the same setting for a significant amount of the book, but that doesn't make it any less suspenseful; it actually builds the suspense, keeping you on the edge of your seat wondering what is going to happen. I tried to guess the ending so many times, and of course, I never suspected what was coming at the end. I would definitely recommend. If you haven't read any of Freida McFadden's books, this is a great one to start with.

This was a really tough read, very miserable but Freida does really know how to write a page turner so I still couldn’t put it down 

I did predict some bits and, in classic Freida fashion, just as I thought I’d predicted everything she throws a whopper in there and shocks me!
