WOW! FANTASTIC! Thank you NetGalley and Storm Publishing for granting me access to this book in exchange for an honest review.
What a magical and unique witchy fantasy romance that has your enemies to lovers trope, forbidden romance, morally gray characters, family rivalry, secrets, betrayals and a murder mystery! It is a journey filled with suspense, tension, magic binding spells, and unexpected twist and turns. I absolutely loved this book so much!! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Sadie, who is a powerful witch and lawyer, lives in London. She avoids using her magic for fear it would lead her archenemy, Gabriel, straight to her. When she finds out that her brother is on trial for the murder of Gabriel's father, Sadie has to travel home to represent him in court. Will she be able to hide from Gabriel with the disguise spell on her? Better yet will she be able to resist the pull she has for him? Is her brother innocent? How far will she go to protect her family? Who is the true villain?
Overall, I was completely captivated from start to finish! I will say to be prepared because it does not end on a happily ever after. However, it does have a happy ending. Now I cannot wait for the next book in the series!! I highly recommend this book and it deserves all the stars!!✨✨🔮💫💫🧙♀️

Enemies to lovers/forbidden love interest with witches? Perfection!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and the relationship between Sadie and Gabriel had me kicking my feet. The romance and chemistry between them was incredible. Since the beginning I was rooting for them even though I probably shouldn’t have considering the rivalry. Both characters being morally grey also added so much depth to their interactions.
The magic system and the world-building were great and I could really imagine what it was like in Mannith (the main setting). It was slow to start because of the first part being mainly background, but as soon as the second part began, the story took off! I felt that the dialogue was a bit choppy sometimes, but the story was so engaging it didn’t really affect me much. The courtroom scenes were some of my favorites and I thought the pacing for them was perfect (just enough but not too much).
Thank you the NetGalley and Storm Publishing for this ARC!

Quick Summary: A magical see saw, sci-fi/fantasy romance with dark tones
My Review: The Twisted Mark by Sophie Williamson is book one in the Witch Trials series.
About the Book: When a murder, an unclaimed promise, a mother's whispered communications, and nefarious intentions impact the lives of two powerful beings, the town of Mannith doesn't know what to think.
About the Leads: The connection between Sadie Sadler and Gabriel Thornber defied logic. It was up, down, tilted and twisted. Their relationship took pain, pleasure, and passion to another level.
About the Family: The family dynamics in this story were quite dramatic. There was an element of manipulation mixed with dishonesty from the outset. There seemed to be an imbalance that existed in the Sadler family circle, where all parties weren't treated the same. What should have been steady and sure in the unit came across as fluctuating and inconsistent.
My Final Say: Although the story started a bit rough, it eventually smoothed out. Once it did, it engaged me completely. Readers who long for a dark tale with gray leads will enjoy this novel.
Other: Some of the actions of Sadie and Gabriel very much kept me on the edge of my seat. With that said, some of their antics gobsmacked me until I was rendered speechless. (One major situation knocked me so senseless that my spouse was startled by the sounds I was making. Lol)

I really enjoyed this book! I was lucky to get to read it before it released and I was so happy I got the chance! The story line kept me going. I had to know what happened next! I liked Gabriel from the beginning…even if I shouldn’t have. I loved how Sadie was able to stay true to herself and her beliefs, even after everything that happened. Between the two rivaling families, I’m not sure which one I think is in the right…and I’m intrigued what’s going to come of the letter she received when she got home… can’t wait for the next book!

This is a witchy fantasy romance. Enter Sadie, a total badass witch-lawyer living it up in the city, doing everything she can to stay off her creepy nemesis, Gabriel's radar. But, wouldn't you know it, her brother lands in deep trouble, accused of murder, and she's dragged back to her magical hometown, Mannith. Cue the family feud drama and hidden secrets galore! Sadie's got the magic mojo and looks to boot, but she's oblivious to it. Oh, and did I mention the intense chemistry crackling between her and Gabriel? Talk about enemies turned lovers! The story had me on the edge of my seat with its suspense, magic, and jaw-dropping twists. Though I must admit, some characters felt a bit lackluster, and the plot had a few loose ends. Regardless, I'm eagerly awaiting the sequel, hoping it'll be up the ante!
