Oblomovka is the state that infected Oblomov and to a degree infects many in the current era. Read it and you may recognize someone you know. This book, while it is not as well known as other 19th century Russian literature speaks to the social isolation and fear of many. Reportedly it was Goncharovs' master work, but I think it was so good that it would be worthwhile to read other works by Goncharov.. I read a free e-version by translator CJ Hogarth.
