I was expecting a book about how to incorporate Buddhist principles within a busy lifestyle but mostly, it's an autobiography filled with lots of anecdotal stories (many unrelatable), and a small sprinkling of Buddhist teachings and knowledge inbetween.

Couldn't finish it. It's primarily a memoir, but I just couldn't get into the guy's life.

A great simple guide to Buddhism and how we can start fitting some key Buddhist teachings and practices into our everyday lives to help us achieve a calmer more zen way of life. This book is great for anyone with an interest in Buddhism who wants to start learning what Buddhism is all about. #buddhismforbusypeople #davidmichie #tea_sipping_bookworm #bookstagram #goodreads #litsy #amazon #kindle #bookqueen #greatreads

A newbie to the meditation world, I picked up this title thinking it would help provide a framework for my practice. Michie's brisk text fits this bill very well. Interspersed with illustrative personal anecdotes, the author covers many of the main features of Tibetan Buddhism as I understand it. To be sure, a quick read for busy people will never satisfy readers seeking a deep understanding of these themes; however, as a quick overview, this book provides a good, thought-provoking introduction.
