Just for once, could the dad have died of cancer? It literally only came up once in this one, but still.

I liked this well enough, it was genuinely funny in places and I found both the romantic leads super likeable. It did drag on a bit, and the writing was a bit repetitive - there's only so many times you can hear someone say something "in a gravel". I was aware of more clunky bits in the writing than I remember in Book Lovers, and the third act break up felt very underwhelming and easily resolved.
