Screaming, crying and throwing up! 4.5 stars. Daffy annoyed me and I hated that ho Petra, she got off way too easy.

I like Emily Henry’s writing. I liked the characters in this book. I read it basically nonstop. Miles & Daphne have fun chemistry & cute banter and I liked the development of their relationship.

The HEAVY angsty-ness kind of irritated me which is why I can’t really say this is 4 stars. Like, not bc it existed. I know that is part of the deal! But honestly, sometimes when a character was giving their backstory and delving into how said backstory affected their current behaviors & feelings, I was just thinking things like “That connection does not really make sense?” Or “This feels like you said a whole bunch of words that told me nothing.”

So I just started nodding politely to the book and continuing on as if those parts hadn’t happened. And everything else was great! Entirely predictable but still great and definitely got me in the feels. Will def read more Emily Henry. Probably soon.
