As this is an anthology I'll review each short story seperately and then a conclusion of my opinion of the anthology in general.

Lucky Break by Aria Kane
It was an okay story. The two main character haven't seen each other for quite some time and then run into each other while Andrea is called in to fix the dishwasher at the place Derek works. Most of the story is about them trying to figure out their feelings for each other and explaining the past while they both have work to do there as well. There was just a bit too little depth and all their problems seemed to stem from miscommunication 4 years ago.

Lucky Star by Grace Teague
I liked this story. I always have liked friends-to-lovers stories. I especially liked the beginning of this story and I finished this one in one sitting. There were some places that felt a bit off or rushed, but overal this was a nice and enjoyable story. There was some miscommunication towards the end, but mostly this was a sweet story about a girl who finally gathers the courage to tell her best friend she's in love with him.

A New Tune by Ana Blaze
This was a fun story. I liked Holly, although I thought her fear of dating musicians was a bit too extreme. The beginning felt a bit off and I thought Holly was a bit too mean to Cain and not giving him a chance, but later on that improves. I liked that they actually seemed to get to know each other and they did some honest talking beside having sex. I would've liked seeing what happens to them next.

Lexi’s Chance by Constance Phillips
Lexi's Chance is about a girl who is in love with bartender Sean. And sean's in love with her, but lexi thinks he flirts that way with all the patrons. It was a funs tory, although I thought some of the problems where resolved a bit too easy or quick. And then when they finally take a chance, their relationship develops really fast. I did like how we got to know these characters a bit and learned some of their secrets. Some of the changes in the character occures a bit fats, but then again it is a short story.

Drink or Dare by Melinda Dozier
This was a fun story. Since the first short story I've been wondering about Killian and what was up with him wearing a kilt and now we finally found out. I really liked this story, it was sweet and the character already knew each other. I liked the competitiveness between the main characters. I normally don't like dares in a story, but they where done sorta nice in this one, it didn't feel forced, more like the dare pushed Rachel to do somethign she wanted to but otherwise might not have done. I like dhow their relationship developed and they suddenly saw each other in a new perspective.

The thing I like most about this anthology is how all these stories take place on the same night and there's intercation between the stories. For exmaple in each story it is mentioned someone walks around in a kilt in the pub, but you don't find out the whole story behind it until the last story. I also liked how some characters made a short appearance in other stories and everythign was just inegrated seamlessly. And then there's the well dressed old man that appear mysertiously in each short story.

To conclude: This was a fun anthology with 5 stories that all take place in and around the same pub, mostly on the same night. There is some overlap and interactions between the stories and all the stories wher enjoyable and well written. Some parts fell a bit rushed and short, but then again it are short stories. These authors wrte some of the best anthologies I've read and I really like the overlap and connection between the stories that adds some depth to the anthology in general.

This book has five short stories that all interconnect. Each story is about one couple, but when you put them all together you get the whole story of what happened that night at the Brazen Head, which I thought was fun. Though the stories are short, they are satisfying romantic stories. There may not be time for a HEA, but they at least end with hope. One of my favorites was A New Tune. I think this quote sums up why I liked Cian so much:

The girl had always been a bit prickly, but since they’d kissed she was a f***ing cactus. She aggravated and charmed him at the same time, so he figured he’d have to marry her eventually. In the meantime, he was gonna try for an actual date. It didn’t look like tonight would be his night.

There is more to like as well. You have the second chance story, friends that decide they want more, school rivals who don't get along until they meet at the pub. The flirty bartender who has to convince the woman he's interested in that he's sincere. This was a fun and sweet yet steamy read.

The one thing I loved most about this anthology is that each author wrote a story about different characters that either own, work at, or frequent the same pub. So, is was like one big story written by five different authors. I loved it! Also, even though each story is less than a hundred pages, they were complete stories. There is one person that appears in each story and that is the old Irish man. He appears in each story and gives advice, then disappears like a ghost. I highly recommend reading this fantastic anthology as it is very entertaining and full of gorgeous Irish men!

Lucky Break by Aria Kane -- 5-Star Review
I love "second chance" stories! Derek should have never left Andrea. He's back after 4 years. Can she forgive him for believing in some misspoken words by her grieving father?

Lucky Star by Grace Teague -- 5-Star Review
"Friends to lovers" stories are always entertaining but scary because you never really know if the other person feels the same until you take that leap. Charlotte was robbed, so she called her best friend, Tommy. In that moment when her life flashes before her eyes, she knows she must tell Tommy exactly how she feels about him.

A New Tune by Ana Blaze -- 5-Star Review
A sexy musician with a sexy Irish name, Cian, and a slight accent. Holly is who he wants and is willing to wait for her to really see him. I love it when the man is head-over-heels and he has to convince the woman to give him a chance. Great story!

Lexi's Chance by Constance Phillips -- 5-Star Review
Sean is one sexy bartender and willing to do anything for Lexi to notice him. They both have issues in their past that may interfere with their present together. I adore the men in this book!

Drink or Dare by Melinda Dozier -- 5-Star Review
Rachel was in Killian's bar for a bachelorette pub crawl and the ladies want to play Drink or Dare. Rachel being the one with all the dares and she goes to Killian to complete them. This is a sweet and fun romance to round out the fifth story in this entertaining anthology surrounding The Brazen Head Pub.

I love when anthologies all revolve around interlocking characters or some central theme. For this contemporary romance anthology, all 5 of the stories take place in the same night at the same Irish Pub in Boston. There is this mysterious old man that shows up in each story and the characters interlock with each other in some way. One story is about the cook of the Irish Pub, one is about a waitress and a singer that they have performing regularly for them, two are about brothers from the family that own the pub, and two have regular customers in them. It was really nice to see bits and pieces from the other stories as you were reading each of the new ones. As I got to some of the later stories, I was looking out for the scenes where the earlier stories took place. It was fun.

One lucky night is a great book for when you are looking for a quick and happy pick me up. I started out reading the first three stories one at a time, each in between a full length novel that I had read. I thought it would be nice to insert some quick sexy fun between each of my longer books. But by the third one, I had gotten impatient and I was having much too much fun seeing how all the stories fit together to stick to my self imposed rule of reading the stories one at a time. I gobbled up the rest of the book in one reading.

I don't even know which of the stories I like the best. They are all really great. I enjoyed Charlotte's story, as well as Holly's. Oh, but I can't forget about the brothers Sean and Killian. They were great as well. Plus Killian's story came last and by the end of the book, I was dying to see why he was in a kilt the whole night. All of the earlier stories alluded to some sort of bet, and I couldn't wait to see what it was.

If you are looking for quick, Sexy fun, One Lucky Night does not disappoint. This is my second or third book that I have read by some of these authors and I love their anthologies. They always do the same overlapping story lines, and that is my favorite way to read an anthology. It reminds me of that movie, Love, Actually. Where all of the story lines intertwine. And these authors have it down to an art. One Lucky Night is tons of fun.
