I’ve read this too many times.
slow-paced

boring and badly written

"you are my best friend, my love, my playmate and my teammate. you’ll have a team with me wherever we are, with whatever we are playing."

this isn't a perfect book, but the amount of sheer and undiluted joy it gives me makes it impossible for me to give it anything less than 5 stars. it's one of my comfort books, and i don't see that changing any time soon.

this book is one i hold especially close to my heart. sal and kulti mean so much to me. seeing their relationship gradually shift and evolve is such a beautiful experience. it wouldn't be a stretch to say that i probably had heart eyes while reading this book.

plus, soccer? my favorite sport? in a romance book? someone really knows the way to my heart.

"this is what matters. you are my gift, my second chance, and i will cherish you and your dream. i will protect both of you."

Negative stars. FMC was slut-shamey and it was icky. Characters had no chemistry. And the end with the letters? Uhhh no.
