The Praise: This book was very funny and sweet. I like that it’s based around the classic monsters.

The Critique: I feel like there wasn’t enough backstory. Things were briefly mentioned (Angelique, Frank’s mate, etc) but I didn’t feel like I got enough information to really make sense of it all. I still had a lot of questions by the end and it felt like there was a previous book I missed, though that doesn’t appear to be the case.

Final Thoughts: This was cute and funny, I just wish the backstories had been more clear.

This book had everything that you look for in a romcom with a good dash of spice.
Vlad's a delicious grump, and I liked how dedicated he was to Aubrey. And Doyle, I loved Doyle and how he called out Vlad when necessary, but also had his back at all times.

This book is a great start to this series, and I'm looking forward to the stories of the other monsters.
