Such a good book!! And while the ending is cliffhanger-esque, I loved it and can't wait for the next book!!

Another quick cozy adventures with Tilly and Oscar, this time during the Christmas season. The atmosphere and warmth was just as enjoyable as in book 1 but I felt a little bit disappointed by other parts. I loved their visit to Paris and how that enhanced their knowledge of underlibraries just as much as their stroll through a book of fairy tales. It was so much fun to meet all these emancipated heroines and I wish there had been more of that.

This novel showed a lot of potential for moral ambiguity and the exploration of grey spaces but unfortunately it concluded with the same old good/bad categories as before. At least, Tilly started rebelling against her grand parents and questioning the things she's told. I also liked how Bee wasn't portrayed as a perfect mother but as a person who has trouble adapting to her new old life. I wish we had more of Tilly's insight on what it is like for her to have a mother like that. Nevertheless, I'm looking forward to book 3, there were a lot of interesting open threads at the end of this one after all.

I picked up this series having found the third book in my library catalog in a search for “archivist”. The archivists in this universe have a mythical or legendary reputation which I’m uncertain about, but I look forward to the third book to hopefully have that explained.
Otherwise, it’s clever, adventure, and has that “I have to know what happens next” quality.

This book is adorable. Really loving this series and enjoying the character development and plot movement!

A cute follow up book in The Pages & Co. series. Not as strong as the first, but we get a lot more mischief and adventure in this one. Tilly and her best friend Oskar are told NOT to explore fairy tales because they don't have the safety of source books. So of course they decide to go bookwandering in one and everything goes wrong. Not wrong in the way that Tilly's grandparents warned, but wrong in that pieces of the story seem missing and characters are acting... well out of character. Could it have anything to do with Mr. Chalk the villain from the first book or is this a new evil? Lot of fun adventures, cute quips, love the comments about librarians. I'm interested to see where the third book goes!

Nadal przyjemnie i szybko się czyta, choć niestety dzieci dość irytują, szczególnie Tilly i podejmują głupie momentami decyzje chyba tylko po to, żeby fabuła szła dalej.
