After re-reading this, I'm trying to figure out why I gave this 5 stars lol. I really do like Dylan. I'm not a fan of Alice.

Alice comes across as annoying and irritating. She has this immediate attraction to Dylan and she just can't explain it, but then is constantly arguing with him about stuff. Dylan I like for the most part.

There is definitely stuff left very unresolved at the end of this book.

WOW! I was intrigued from the get go. It was differen than I had expected. I figured it would be the basic scenerio told in other books. Powerful man drawn to strong but fragile woman, etc. BUT, not with this! The little twists in the beginning were interesting. It was easy to start to piecing together some of Alice's history. You knew that something was coming up, but unsure and guessing. I think the added inserts of things from Dylan's point of view was a great clue in to that mystery. It wasn't just one sided and told souley from her side. It added that bit of twist that I crave! Beth did an amazing job with this one. I can not WAIT to read the next one!!!!!!!! Be sure to check this one out and put it on your must have!

DNF. I ILL'd this on a whim after realizing that I needed some decent erotica in my life. This book, however, failed me. Failed me harder than some dude's quivering member. I read the first 20 pages, then skipped to the nearest sex scene to see if any of those would be worth reading, and nope, still bad.

This 50 Shades knock-off had some of most horribly written sex scenes I have read in a while. Awkward girl meets young cocky billionaire. Curse that damn series for creating a whole sub-genre of crap.

I read some of the 5-star reviews to see if maybe I was missing something, but I guess my expectancy bar for erotica is set too high.

This is the first book in a series about the two main characters, Alice and Dylan. Alice has been recruited by Dylan's company to participate in a unique training/acceptance program at a camp for troubled youth. As the story unfolds we find out more and more about Alice's and Dylan's pasts and how they are intertwined. The two become involved in a secret torrid affair which leads to extreme emotions and danger when the truth about the past is revealed. The story of these two characters continues in the next book in the series, Glow. This book was very enjoyable with a very interesting story. It would have been just as interesting with or without the intense sex between the main characters, Alice, and Dylan. The encounters these two had added a level to the story that I'm not sure was necessary. The one thing it did do was solidify the trust between the two characters that was going to be necessary as parts of Alice's story became more clear. I look forward to Glow to learn more about Alice's and Dylan's stories.

I read the blurb/synopsis on this book and thought it was a little vague, but it still attracted my attention and then when I started reading about it. and yes, at first I was like really camp? That's where Alice Reed is competing for Durand Inc and whoever is chosen goes on to be the one of the top successful in the industry. The very first meeting with CEO Dylan Fall is laced with slight truths and wordy rebuttals and Alice is shocked to find out that she did in fact get a spot at camp and thus a spot to be chosen.I was sure, SURE I knew where this story was going and I was on the fence about reading Glow, the next in the series and then BAM curveball gets thrown in the mix and Beth Kerry had my jaw on the freaking floor! now? I HAVE to read Glow. Yes, it is erotica, with the late nite meets in the stables and his bedroom, I loved the sex scenes! Dylan is dominating and a bit of a dirty talker(which I kinda find hot) but he's also real sweet and gentle with her which had me falling for him hard.
Great Book and can't wait for Glow! Way to go Beth Kerry for taking what could have been another same 'ole same 'ole and turning it into something totally unique and enjoyable.
