Another great book by Uketsu! This one is not as dark as Strange Pictures - and rather outlandish if I'm being honest, yet it feels so convincing because of the way the story presenting; journalistic, succinct and straightforward. This is your well-known locked room mystery that blends with gothic element and ends with murders.

This book was an amusing light read and I enjoyed the mystery, however the last chapter / epilogue outshone the rest of the book entirely with its last sentence.
I honestly wanted to love this book, especially since I’ve read ‘Strange Pictures,’ but I was a bit disappointed.
The concept of the book was cool, but it kind of bothered me how they immediately jumped into theorizing about the house. It felt like Uketsu didn’t know how to build up the investigative aspect.
I can only hope that the next book is better.
