Well, this was an improvement over the previous books. Not once did she use the phrase "some-some" in regards to sex. I'm so proud! Or not... One thing you can count on Kresley Cole for, though, is a massive male member and a tight girl part no matter how many men she may have been with before.

The love I have for this book is ridiculous, particularly considering how much I have come to resent this author. There is one major tick I have with romance books: when the heroine acts obnoxiously defiant and independent in an attempt to be 'feminist,' spurns the male for no reason, and then when he apologizes/is almost killed, takes him back even though she is the one who should be apologizing. I cannot STAND that. It's a trend that runs rampant through this series in particular but THIS BOOK.

There's none of that. There's no constant fighting with a quick make-up scene in the last chapter. Instead there is character growth, gentleness and dominance, respect on both sides, mistakes on both sides that they actually own up to, and I love it. It is so out of character for the other books in this series that I have read, and I adore this couple endlessly. If there are any more books like this from Ms. Cole, I would devour them on the spot. Let me know if there is!

A French ballerina ghost and an unhinged/pathetic vampire? I ate it up, I’m not even sorry. So much yearning!!
adventurous funny lighthearted

The first one of these that I read and instantly adored. Good stuff all the way.

Even after Conrad's mantrums and insults, probably second most healthiest relationship in this series.

Neomi was such a great/strong FMC. Her love for life and dancing was truly felt through the pages. Also loved her non-damsel in distress attitude when it came to a solution for her situation. I felt very protective over her!

Conrad's outbursts and digs at her, for a situation she had no control over, threw me over the edge. But on instances when he had his right mind on his shoulders, he was extremely compassionate and protective over her. He tried his bed fighting to stay sane and be a better version of himself for her. To make her proud of him.

So far, second best MMC in this series. I fear no one shall take the spot from boundary respecting Sebastian.
