I really enjoy getting lost in Rovelli’s essays and writings. It makes me think and for my
Nonfiction science reads, this is exactly what I want from these books. Thank you.
In particular I liked the Baby Jesus, uncertainty is not the enemy, sands, de rurum, stupefying and Are we free.

I think I'm finally starting to enjoy non-fiction. With that said, I enjoyed this book a lot. When I first received this in the mail, I wasn't expecting to like it. I thought it would be like any other non-fiction but I was amazed at how much I liked it. I finished this in 3 days, I couldn't put it down lol. Even though the book consists of articles that were published by the author, the book was structured in a way that even article relates to one another. Philosophy and physics are 2 concepts I never thought I would enjoy so much but I loved learning new things. Thank you @riverhead for sending me this book!

I think I've found one of my new favourite authors.
I first came across Rovelli with HELGOLAND, and his intertwining of science and philosophy really grabbed me.
This one was equally enjoyable, but for different reasons. These short, sharp piece illuminate just how wide-ranging Rovelli's interests are, from Nabokov to the African plains, from the existence of god to the wonder of black holes.
And in each case, his clear, thoughtful prose pulls me right in.
Amazing author, incredible mind.

These short articles are pleasant, but uneven. Some are too general, some too specific. But plenty are just right and a good read.

Absolutely loved this peek into the thoughts of such a beautiful mind. A bit like reading the curated diary of an empathetic genius

3.5** Reading Carlo Rovelli’s thoughts on topics not relevant to quantum gravity, for which he’s known for, were illuminating, but were sporadic and some seemed pointless for what he was trying to convey. But his thoughts on why he’s an Atheist were spot on
