A frothy, fun and light summer beach read that takes you on a fashion-filled fantasy in Palm Beach. Not the sharpest or best laid-out plot, but if you can put aside reality and just dive headfirst into the book, you'll definitely enjoy it like I did. Great ending and one that leaves a reader happy. I loved all of the pop culture references!
I bought this after reading that it was the same plot of the cancelled tv show Privelaged. I'd started watching the show and never really could get into it, but wanted to know what happened to the characters. The book was so much better. I loved the voice Zoey Dean gave Megan. She was a strong yet flawed character to begin with, but as time went on she became stronger, and less emotionally stunted. It was a good book and I read it in five hours.

Not a lot to say about this one but it was just a kind of fun, easy read I would pick up at work in my spare time. It is "chick-lit" without a lot of depth or riveting story. Its just fun if you need something short and fun to wind down with.
None of the characters were really deep or developed, just superficial rich kid types. Not necessarily boring but not particularly interesting either. It was very of its time.

I watched the short-lived tv series Privileged. I really liked it. It was complete fluff, but it was cute. I happened on this book browsing in the library the other day and thought I'd give it a shot. Like the tv show, it's total fluff. But I liked it. It was a cute little story and I enjoyed reading it.
Much better than Dean's "A List" series - the characters were much more likeable, and while the story was predictable, it was enjoyable.
I just loved this book. It was also a TV show on the CW for one season. I watched the first half of the season online but now I can't find it to finish. It was really good as well.
It’s a predictable novel. I mean, come on, it’s chick lit! It’s a nice little story minus the profanity, promiscuity, underage drinking, lying, unbelievable naivety of an adult, etc…
Why did I keep reading it? The story is catchy and…I was hoping all the other stuff would just go away. You know how some books (and movies) start off with objectionable material and then as the story progresses the objectionable material subsides–that’s what I was expecting.
Take out the junk and it’s a cute story…but otherwise…it’s tainted.

Heartily enjoyed, for some reason the characters hit the spot!
This is a typical chick read. It starts with a normal girl who just finished college. She has major debt is broke and cant find a job. A miracle smacks her in the face and she is off to Palm Beach FL. She gets a job offer that will pay off her debt +++ a good paycheck every week...if she can get the spoiled, rich, Baker twins into Duke. Along the way there is some bumps and everything comes together nicely in the end! :)
