I forgot to write a good review when this was freshly read. It was exciting to see how this brought different characters together.

If you've made it this far in the series, you know what to expect. The writing could have stood a few more rounds of editing, and I really noticed the poor pacing in this one. All of the books tend toward a slow build then a sudden flurry of action toward the end, but I never minded until this one. I also found it hard to keep track of the frequent changes in POV, but I don't know if this is just because I was listening to an audiobook and couldn't necessarily see the chapter and scene breaks.
This book did have the coolest villain so far, though. I would have liked to hear more about the Red Queen, and I hope some of the mysteries surrounding her are cleared up in later books.

I thought I remembered from my 2012 read of these books that I really started to love this series when the three dragon siblings were finally reunited.
I'm not 100% sure that that's true. Still, the book was entertaining enough, and I'm still liking it enough to continue the series.

Fourth installment, and the story gets more intense. 3 dragons, all raised in different ways, after their separation as hatchlings, finding each other, in strange circumstances. Powerful story, told very exceptionally.
