Cute Friends-to-Lovers short story. I would have liked some internal connection with the first stories without depending on the blurb to know that it's related to next installment; I prefer that a series explain itself, obviously excepting those where the link is by location or merely thematic.

Sweet friends to lovers mm NA romance set in New Zealand but with too many distracting editing errors. And I’m not usually distracted by writing issues.

This novella shouldn't have been part of the series because it wasn't enemies to lovers it was a best friends to lovers romance. This novella was good but I didn't love it. James was a sweetie and had way more patience than I could of ever had. Benny however just annoyed me and was a bit aggravating.

marking this as read feels like a cop out but I need all the help I can get with my reading challenge and it’s part of the series so *shrug*

I knew this was supposed to be between the second and third books but I'm so glad I read it after [b:William|29328842|William (Enemies to Lovers, #3)|Anyta Sunday|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1456346626l/29328842._SX50_.jpg|19146562] because I feel like I had background information on Benny and James. It was nice to see how they started! :)

Short but sweet

This is a sort of prequel to the next book in the series, setting up Will's story and it's a short, but very sweet, exploratory how what we want is sometimes right under our noses

This was ok. For bestfriends their communication between each other was very poor.

Benny was just a tad too oblivious. He reeeeeally didn't get it. Until, y'know, he did.
