This was a fun collection of "retro" sci-fi short stories!

Pace: All these stories are short and the book itself is less than 160 pages. You can't go wrong!

Characters: All the main characters are male and represent the 1950's man or vision of man of the future (which is pretty much the same, just add some blaster guns and star charts). Characters have little development and are rather one-dimensional and often flat.

Stories: Plots emphasize people and short events (days vs years).

Frame: Some stories take place in space, others in suburban towns. Some are set in the distant future while others are in "current-day" 1950-something. Surprisingly, many of the stories are comedies, filled with humorous situations. You wont find any hard sci-fi or space operas here.

A great book for the already sci-fi fan and a step into sci-fi history. Small stories to fill time in short bursts, this book is an enjoyable read that can be finished in a day or two.
