Not my favourite Louise Candlish. Twas ok. The twist at the end was interesting and led to a small redemption on a complicated character’s part. Overall, I felt like the main dual POVs needed an additional (younger) perspective to add context.

He thinks he safe up there, but he’ll never be safe from you.

The concept of this book really intrigued me. A man standing on a roof terrace, a man that shouldn’t be there, because she killed him. Dun dun dun!

Unfortunately, the blurb was probably the best part of the book for me. I don’t like being negative about books but I genuinely can’t think of much to say, it was that level of meh. The concept was okay, it just didn’t feel fleshed out, it could’ve achieved the same in 100 pages.

I did listen to the audiobook so maybe that didn’t help. I found the characters and their voices quite irritating and were all pretty one dimensional. The different perspectives didn’t add anything, in fact it just got repetitive. The ending came together well enough which bumped the rating up slightly.
