Green Card Voices does it again. This was an incredible collection of graphic novel memoir short stories. I loved how each story had its own unique art style and artist. This should definitely be a staple in middle and high school classrooms and libraries across the United States. Each story was impactful in its own way and it was really impactful knowing that each story was completely true. I would be aware that each story is written by someone who is not a professional writer and that definitely shows. I felt like it brought a lot of authenticity to each piece. It made each person feel more real to me and like I really got to hear their own story in their own voice. However, I could see how some readers might not like that. This is a book that I will definitely be keeping in my classroom.
