End of first story was shockingly horrific - other reviewers found it ridiculous so it probably won’t have the same effect on all readers. But I could have done with a heads up on that one - not usually my cup of tea. the other stories not as graphicangelakay's review

This isn't a who-dunnit; we know from the beginning that in all three stories, it's Jack Glass that dunnit. The questions are, how? And why? While this one definitely has the feel of grand-classic sci fi, each of the three stories also follows a classic murder-mystery format. File this one under super-fresh-original-no-idea-where-it's-going-but-it's-fascinating!

Definitely something different, but also rather flawed. In the end, the whole of the first part didn't really have much to add to the overarching story. It brought some intreague, but no meaning. The second part was all right, I guess, but the third part was wholly unsatisfactory. I hated that (of course...) Jack fell in love with Diana. I mean... She's 16 for fuck's sake. And why did it have to be a love story at all? It was just cool sci-fi until that last bit, that was completely uncalled for and undermined everything, I thought. It also felt very uncharacteristic of Jack. The ending also left more questions than answers, and to be honest, nothing was resolved. What happened to the FTL tech? What about the power vacuum? Why does Diana go back to her family when they betrayed her?
And the fact that Sapho turned out to be the Watson also wasn't right. Then the whole story should've been written from her perspective. All in all, very fragmented, flawed story that was nonetheless entertaining because of the plot-twists (although they were often a bit too far-fetched and came out of nowhere).
