descriptionShe owned a hook-up website and reveled in her freedom. I had a daughter and was braced for the fight of my life. Oil and water. We were oil and water, and if she was going to go through with this experiment, it needed to be done as soon as possible, so we could return to our normal lives. Before one of us did something really stupid.

OMG! I love the single dad trope and add into that mix a sassy heroine and an equally sassy 3 year old who makes you chuckle every time she opens her mouth... Perfect!

Peyton Austin is a complete hot mess and I love it! Her sass, her confidence, her overall persona is so attractive and I was pulled to her instantly.
Elliott Sloane is an attractive male (keeping his messy ass on the side for a minute), on the other hand, has a little hot mess of his own in the version of this cute as a button daughter, Briony, who has her own three-year-old brand of sass.

From their banter to their sexy times, Elliott and Peyton's relationship was absolutely amazing! Add Briony's three-year-old logic along with the banter between the father and daughter and Peyton and Briony ganging up on Elliot, together they make the perfect blend of a crazy family that lit the pages leaving me laughing.

Also a quick special mention to Peyton and her relationship with her brother Dom. HOLY FREAKING COMICAL! I was laughing my butt off every time these two started talking to each other. Gosh, Peyton was my hero!

descriptionI’d gotten the girl. The one I’d lose—the one I never thought I’d see again. But she was mine. Peyton was mine. I had the most incredible sense of peace settle over me, and I knew instantly, this was how my life was supposed to be.

Romantic Comedies are a strong forte of Hart; with her quick and witty dialogues that make you laugh out loud, swoon and leave you blissfully happy by the end of the book.

This red-hot romantic comedy is a definite must-read on my list and is perfect for anyone who is looking to read something fun that is bound to keep them smiling throughout the book.

I LOVED this book! Peyton and Elliott were just plain amazing. The whole premise of the storyline, of Peyton's bet with her brother that she can sleep with someone 3 times in two weeks and not fall in love with them, is a really great idea.

Enter Mellie and Chloe and the fact they choose Peyton's high school crush turned enemy? Oh boy. Lots of hilarity and swoon-worthy moments ensue.

I fell in love with Elliott instantly, and Bri? Good lord, what a cutie-patootie! Oh my gosh, I adored her! The whole storyline flows really smoothly and has some really nice open and honest moments, be they in the form of arguments, inner realisations, or gentle reminders from their friends, there is a whole lot happening in this one and its just really great all around.

I loved watching Peyton and Elliott learn about each other as adults, and the people they have become in life, in comparison to their high school memories of each other. And I like that fact that the truth comes in to play and they're adult enough to acknowledge things.

I enjoyed everything about this book, and there is a perfect opening for the next in the series which I think will be just as awesome as this one.

Definitely recommend Peyton and Elliott!

If you love second chance romances with laugh out loud moments and a sexy single dad then this book is definitely for you. Peyton and Elliott's story is one with grudges, anger, forgiveness and love that will have you hanging on to every word until the very end. But you will absolutely fall in love with one amazing little girl....Briony!!!!

Romance, comedy and a $500 bet - sounds like the perfect read.

When Dominic bets his sister Peyton that someone can't sleep with someone three time without falling in love, Peyton is quick to take up the challenge, knowing that she'll be $500 richer at the end of two weeks. Her two friends, Mellie and Chloe, take on the task of picking the guy she's to hook-up with from her hook-up site 'Pick-A-D*ck', and they think they've found the perfect guy. Only, it turns out to be Elliot Sloane, the guy who crushed Peyton in high school and the guy she's been hating for the last ten years. Suddenly, this whole challenge seems easy - how could she fall in love with someone she hates? But when she starts to learn more about Elliot's life and the what really happened back in high school, feelings begin to bubble below the surface, and all of a sudden the challenge gets a lot harder than she anticipated (pun totally intended).

After reading The Upside of Being Single, which is the precursor to this duology, I was excited to delve into Peyton's story. And I can't believe it's taken me so long to get here! Like Upside, this is a fun romantic comedy that has a good mix of laughs, romance and serious stuff. It's a book that you can totally envision being a rom-com film, probably starring Jennifer Aniston or Cameron Diaz or Drew Barrymore - you know, the queens of rom-coms.

From the outset, Peyton is an interesting character - she runs a hook-up website where she spends most of her day looking a dick pics to help match people to their ideal hook-ups. That on it's own is hilarious to read about, especially when you get commentary from her family and friends. Then add in Elliot's reaction to Peyton's reveal that she is, in fact, the owner of the hook-up site that he signed up for, and you've got you're self a fun storyline.

Elliot's story grounds the entire book with it's more serious undertone, but at the same time it's filled with lots of laughs as well. Together, these two have a lot of chemistry, and it's fun to read the development of their relationship. I've read a good number of Emma Hart books (although I still have so many to get to), and I really like how she writes her characters and romances, and this book was no exception.

If you're a fan of romance reads, this is a book you'll definitely enjoy. While you don't have to, I really do recommend reading The Upside of Being Single first as it serves as a great introduction to these characters. Whichever book you start with, you're sure to enjoy Peyton's story and want to immediately start on Chloe's in The Dating Experiment (which I'm going to do the moment this review is posted).

For the most part I enjoyed this book. But the female MC kind of grated on my last nerve. A little to crass and obnoxious. All for confident, independent woman but Peyton was a touch too much. Her competitive nature sees her agreeing to a silly bet with her brother that one can sleep with someone three times without falling in love. She doesn't expect that someone to be her high school crush and heartbreaker, Elliott Sloane. Thinking she could easily win the bet, she dives right in. But hard truths and unexpected moments make her rethink everything she knows. As for Elliott I loved how he stood up to her craziness and made his own demands. His daughter Briony was the cutest thing every and surprisingly her toddle talk didn't drive me insane.

An enjoyable read and I look forward to reading Dominic and Chloe's story next.

One of my favorite tropes in romance is enemies-to-lovers and The Hook-Up Experiment did not disappoint me.
Peyton is a confident, sexy, sassy, independent, successful woman, who can't say no to a bet especially if she knows she's going to win it... So, Peyton bets her brother that it's possible to hook up with someone three times and not fall in love and well... she's the perfect test subject. She's going to prove him wrong and win 5 hundred dollars. But she wasn't expecting to hook up with her high school enemy. Elliott. Hot, sexy Elliott that aged so perfectly... There's no way she's going to fall in love with him, right?
Elliott is a hot, sexy, swoon-worthy, perfect, charming man who has his struggles as a single dad. He doesn't have much time to date, so he signs up on a website just to hook up, no strings attached. But the first blind date is one hell of a surprise...
Honestly, I think I might have a crush on Peyton! I loved her! Her style, her stubbornness, her spontaneity, everything about her was lovable. The chemistry and the banter are off the charts, Dominic (Peyton's brother) and Chloe's (Peyton's BFF) comical moments made me laugh so many times, I really loved the Friends vibe and Briony is such a sweet, sweet kid. The Hook-Up Experiment is a low angst, charming, hilarious, addictive, swoony, light romantic comedy. Can't wait for Dom and Chloe's story!

Ms Hart is the queen of Rom Coms.
This is a laugh out loud, sweet, sassy story.
Peyton is the owner of a hookup website and her and Elliott and so great and funny togther.
I'm so excited for the next book in this series of Standalones.
I volunteered to read a copy of this book

Somewhere between 2.5 and 3 stars
Great concept, not-so-great execution. I enjoyed the story and liked the characters but this isn't one that's going to be stay with me forever, ya feel?
