Made me teary. Not an easy read, but lovely and heartwarming. Also, super fun for anyone who knows Cincinnati!

I can’t do it. Ever since my mom’s hospital stay and surgery I know I can’t read books with sick parents. Turns out sick siblings are a no go too even though I’m an only child. Parker’s fear and grief in the flashbacks is so visceral and so painful that it brought back every bad night I had alone in the apartment while my mom was sick. Even the descriptions of Parker’s panic attacks were too much making me jittery. I’m shaky just writing this. It’s too real. This is going to be such a powerful book for people who need a window into experiences like this. But for me it was more of a mirror and I’m not ready to see that reflection right now.

This had a whole lot of teen angst going on, definitely in the same ballpark as John Green books - so if that’s your cup of tea I think you’ll enjoy this!

I feel like the story really could’ve benefited from having an epilogue set a few years in the future, just to round it all out a bit more - but besides that the story was great. At times the teen drama was a bit much for me, but I also could relate to my years as a teen and how dramatic everything felt back then.

As for the characters, I had moments of annoyance with all of them, but also likeable moments. I think it really just comes back to the teenage angst thing lmao. I do think some characters were better than others, and truthfully the Ruby/Charlie relationship didn’t need to exist at all for me, but I understand why it was included. I would’ve preferred more Parker/Finn depth in its place, but it was still good regardless!

For me the highlights were all the moments that encouraged listening to yourself and your body, and not always fitting into the places people expect you to. Its a reminder we can all benefit from, and something I tend to forget myself. So for me that was the best part :)

Currently crying as I type this out. This was such a beautiful and deep story, I didn’t expect to become so emotional reading this but seeing Parker’s journey and seeing how it played out really just hit me.
I saw so much of myself in Parker and it really made the reading experience feel so real to me, her relationship with Finn was so sweet to see along with her friendship with Ruby. It did take a while for me to like Charlie but by the end I really liked him. A really good and emotional read overall.

Just beautiful.

This is a book filled with sadness but despite the melancholy atmosphere, it instilled an immense amount of hope inside me.

Poignant and uplifting, Letting Go of Gravity is a story of resilience, of getting to know and trust yourself and letting go of the things you cannot change.

Meg Leder has created a novel that touches more than your heart!

The descriptions of anxiety attacks were so specific, it was painful to read. Although, I'm just a reader, outside the narrative, it was also painful to read the strained family relations. It mostly ended great!
