Loved this book.  It was funny, frustrating, exciting, and so many other things.   Justin is all green flags and you don't see that often. Made me want to send my wife date surveys!   All around loved it

Main female character has history of child abuse/neglect and grew up in the foster system as the main focus of her issues with the relationship. It goes into some detail of major life moments that lead to her abandonment issues. Her arc is all about denial to recognition to repair so it’s really heart warming overall but could be triggering, especially when her mom/ abuser shows up and she’s basically reliving it all again but with new, adult, perspective. Her mom is manic/depressive with some explicit depictions of her behavior, but never from her perspective. The main male character’s dad died in a car accident, years before this takes place and not a lot of detail.

A new all time top three book for me. Check your trigger warnings but definitely read it.
The audiobook was particularly well done and added another beautiful layer to the story.

Whoah this is heavy for a romance. Really liked it though, and didn’t realize it incorporated characters from previous books until the Author Q&A at the end, so stands alone very well.
