Seriously ugly crying, stayed up all night to read in 1 sitting.  Author great at depicting complex interpersonal relationships.

This was beautiful 😭 such a raw portrayal of cPSTD and the affects it can have on navigating life and relationships. Emma had such rough life experiences, amd seeing her journey towards healing and self love was heart rending to watch. I cried many a tear reading this book.

And Daniel, the epitome of "if he wanted to he would", a victim of circumstance. Poor guy grew up in such different circumstances and still got dealt a shitty hand. But he really stepped up and navigated his new life, not running away from his HUGE responsibilities.

A major thing that gets me when reading mental health representation in a romance is that there's often an aspect of one saving the other, but Emma really did put in the work and made so many mature decisions to get her life on track without upending Daniel's newfound life knowing her mum's impact on her life as a child.

This honestly couldn't have been done any better. I loved every single second.
