An interesting continuation. The intrigue of the plotd worked very well.
The ending was a bit too convenient, but is a great setup for the last book.

I would have preferred if the Atreides vs. Harkonnen plot had been included in a different book—it didn’t really have any connection to the Mentat school unlike the other plots (though some were admittedly only tenuously connected).
