Uff...

This series has definitely gotten better. The characters are a little more rounded and it doesn't seem so "high school-ish". There are some weird plot twists (she suddenly gets nauseous around Strigoi) that seem to be pretty random and just there out of the blue to further the plot, but for teen fiction, it's pretty good. Writing will never be amazing, but the improvement means I'll be finishing the series. Also…ugh…all the buildup for Rose and Dmitri and then boom…gone. So sad. I have feeling that isn't the end of him however. This is teen fiction, there's always a happy ending.
3.5 stars, a bit of improvement from the last book but still has a lot of recaps and same old information that starts to get annoying.
I like it to know more about the Moroi Court and discover more about spirit magic. I really liked that this book had a bit more of content and more fluid in time and events.
I felt a growing from Rose part and personality and from the rest of the nucleus when they understood that things gotta change.
Lisa was annoying on this book specially at the end and not very supporting which I found weird due to all that we saw from her but still.

This is by far my favorite book in the series so far. I can't believe i waited so long to read this series. Its amazing.
This book was a non-stop ride. I loved all the stuff that was going on with Rose, she's an incredible main character. Dimitri of course how can you not love him! He's so freakin' hot, and sweet and kick ass!! I'm really liking Adrian too he's really growing on me and i find myself smiling when ever he's in a scene. Christian is another who i really like i love his attitude and snarky comments.
Now Lissa on the other hand, i'm having some real issues with, i actually liked her in the first book, oh how things change. She's portrayed as this super innocent beautiful Moroi . When really all she is is a self centered bitch. I actually hate her. She's all super intellectual within the court and the politics but shes so naive to what goes on around her it's unreal. Her BEST FREIND'S been in love since near enough the time they arrived back to the academy, and did she notice? NO. Yet Adrian did, and hes not known her ever a quarter as long as Lissa. Rose is having all these issues with the ghosts and thinking shes going crazy but what is Lissa more bothered about? Her boyfriend and her stinkin' magic. CONGRATULATIONS to Lissa Dragomir for the worlds WORST best friend. Okay maybe thats a bit much but seriously... Rose is about to go try the man she loves, the trips undoubtedly going to be dangerous and shes already heart broken torn up inside yet she wants Rose to Why? she'll be protected and it's not like she spends all her time with Rose as she spends more time with Christian lately anyway. I was SO SO SO proud of Rose for her little outburst and not giving Lissa what she wants like she usually does.
Okay so thats my rant about the Last Dragomir Princess... -_-
I really enjoyed the stuff that was going on with Rose in this book ( and i dont just mean Dimitri ;) haha) the ghosts and her brushes with insanity where really good to read about and i really enjoyed these aspects of the story.
Ahhh the ending... it was such a happy ending don't you think? Who am i kidding i think i sobbed through the last 10% of this book with my stomach in a knot filled with suspense and dread.
For some reason this series really reminds me of the Evernight series by Claudia Gray this series is WAYYY better bear in mind... must just be the school thing.. I'm starting the next book as soon as i get my ass home from work tomorrow.. this suspense is killing me already!

just finish this and it is going to be hard to review this with out giving anything a way . well rose is seeing ghost. i just have to talk about the ending. someone is gone and it just ripped my heart. I don't understand how the author can do that to us. Other than that it was a good book. there was this one time when rose was with Dimitri that just made me want to jump up and down but u was no the bus. I wonder where this series is going. I hope that some how that Rose Dimitri is the only person who can return him back to the real him but i don't that is going to happen.
All I can say is WOW. Talk about an ending, so so sad :( I can't wait to see what happens in the next book. Mead really stepped it up during this book, I couldn't put it down.
