This book is wonderful. Last week I read another Emily Henry book and this is only my second. It is amazing. The characters are so easy to fall for and I honestly was rooting for them.
It was self-aware about how love stories end but I honestly expected it to throw them out the window until the last chapter! Why was I surprised?
Henry is a great author! can't wait to read more of her books.

Slow start, beautiful ending, perfect title.

It was a bit predictable and chapters felt a bit repetitive at times, especially if you're the type of reader that can easily foreshadow what happens next. But it was well written, all characters were lovable and I especially enjoyed Nora staying true to her self the whole time.

Apart from some small little nitpicky things I had a really good time with this 😊

My favorite of Henry’s books so far. I loved the witty banter between Charlie and Nora. I saw myself and my sister in Nora and Libby’s relationship. The plot is a predictable Hallmark romance but it’s so sweet it doesn’t even matter. I found myself laughing out loud and by the end, crying my eyes out.

I appreciate so many things about Book Lovers. The hilarious banter, the dry sarcasm that's just my kind of humor, the many references to literature and popular romance tropes, the small town setting with a multitude of lovable characters and quirky establishments, including a local bookstore in dire need of TLC.

But above all, I love that Emily Henry gave us a strong, independent heroine who knows what she wants and what works for her and never loses sight of that, as well as a love interest who sees and adores her for who she is and never once tries to change her.

And finally we got a couple who isn't interested in having kids and confidently chooses the lifestyle that works best for them (and not a word of pushback from family members either)!! Incredibly refreshing to see this in a romance novel. We need to normalize this a lot more, in books and in real life.

I loved this, it was so much better than Beach Read for me, I’m glad I gave it a chance after that underwhelming experience. The characters were unlikeable at first but the character development is excellent and by the end I loved them. I also liked that the romance didn’t have any unnecessary dramatic miscommunication or fallout that didn’t make sense for their characters. Also, they had lives and values outside of the relationship that they didn’t compromise for. Such a well done romance, and I loved the familial relationship development that was done too, and not just second to the romance.
