I needed some escapist adventure, and Cussler and Blackwood provided it in spades.

Classic adventure novel with some wonderful historical bits. Super entertaining overall!

This book just went on and on and on and on with minimal action. I'm not particularly fond of National Treasure, and this ranks worse than that.

It's not my favorite. It felt like I was reading an action movie and a lot of it felt cheesy. The characters felt weirdly positive and confident with every situation. Probably not the author for me. Book was just okay.

I don't do to many audio books, but this was an exciting adventure to listen to and especially more enticing to go to rather than the news cycle. I imagine I'll have to check out more by Clive Cussler.

This app should really accept half star ratings. This was better than a 3 but not a 4...

Ya gotta love Clive Cussler. Always an adventurous novel with just enough historical function to make you believe it’s real.

This book was ridiculous. I'm sad because I hoped there would be a series I could read here, being book #1 of a group, but there's no way I can stand the Fargos any further than this.

The rich, world-hopping, treasure-hunting, good-at-everything protagonist couple are completely unfazed by bad guys with guns shooting at them, always find someone to speak perfect English no matter where they are in the world, and magically that person they find just happens to have exactly the information they need and haven't shared that information with anyone else who's come asking (remembering, those people had guns). They also kill (when necessary) with no remorse, chalking it up to "they left me no choice" and moving on with their search without a moment's hesitation.

Read as audio book on my daily commute. Liked the narrator. Book was easy to follow and enjoyable listen.
