A sweet a fun book that I wish had been just a bit more attention-holding. Still, I would have loved it as a child had I known it existed, and I definitely recommend it!
We actually listened to the audiobook version of this while driving around beautiful SE Minnesota on our honeymoon. This had long beena favorite of my wife's, and she was eager to share it with me. I am glad she did.
This is a neat little tale of a changeling and her struggle to survive in her human family in a tiny village. Charming, touching, a book I am looking forward to reading aloud to my children.

I didn't think I was going to like this book or the main character as I started, but it quickly became a fun story. And then ended abruptly. Maybe it should get 3.5 stars.

This book was so up-my-alley I can't even begin to count the ways. I get that it's not everyone's cup of tea and some people have to judge honor winners harshly if they feel they don't stack up. For me, this one did.
