I feel like I definitely prefer Red over Gold right now, but maybe that’ll change 🤔

TLDR: When Silver is there, then it is great.

Longer Review: This volume was more solid and gets back to what I really like that the mangas do which is explore what it would be like to actually live in a world with these Pokemon. Gold and Silver together are both very likeable. I enjoyed it more, but still don't know that I would necessarily recommend this arc to anyone to read.
