I love that this volume took a step away from Rick, who's all tame now, and instead spends some time with Carl. He's going through a role change with his new found independence, and I'm curious to see where he ends up.
Oops! I inadvertently skipped Vol 22 so I was a bit behind on The Whisperers and a few other major plot points. Even so, the story was compelling and one of the better recent offerings in this series.
Shifts the focus from Rick to Carl, made me hold it up to boyfriend, who'd just read it before, going "DOES X HAPPEN?" on multiple occasions. Quick, enjoyable read but worried the storyline's going to blend too much into other ones that came before it and become repetitive, but happy to be proven wrong if I am!
This volume was the reason behind that I started to read the series, I assumed- from the reviews- that somehow the zombies will begin to talk or gain some consciousness. It was a bit disappointing :D but in general I liked the series and thankful for not watching the Tv show. Moreover this series need a diffrent network like HBO or Netflix, than AMC, and if other network in future decided to produce the series I will give it a chance and watch it.
I'm really not sure about this series anymore, but I'll keep giving it a chance because this volume was actually engaging.
