It was too triggering, lacking any form of content warnings for very graphic discussions (at least in audiobook form). At 80% in almost all stories are the same experience of hypersexual awakening, which is repetitive and feels like it is intentionally ignoring those of us who are queer with different experiences.

It was amazing to hear so many different queer stories from people living all across Australia. As a small town queer myself, I felt camaraderie when hearing stories I related to, and appreciated hearing about the experiences I haven't necessarily had myself.

I really and truly loved reading this book! Hearing a spectrum of stories as broad as our community was incredibly insightful, at times relatable, funny and sad, it has everything. For queer Australians, the Australian context in which these stories are based is a comfort, and allows for you to feel more deeply connected to your Australian queer community. As if the writers are your friends, telling you of their experiences and wisdom.

A wonderful compilation of queer stories. I only wished that there had been content warnings before each story as some were quite confronting.

This is definitely an important project but the collection feels a little lacking. Several of the contributions were very similar—particularly those focussing on the G of LGBTIQA+, which comprised almost half of the collection. I wish more space had been made for more nebulous or underrepresented identifications. Another piece on intersex experience would have been welcome. Perhaps more from bisexual or pansexual men?

In particular, I'm miffed that this collection signposts asexual representation in its front and back matter yet contains none. It seems a little shady to preach inclusivity and not practice it, particularly when many of the contributions discussed the impacts of inadequate queer representation. It's not fair to use the A in your press material and blurb if you're not actually going to feature asexual voices in your content, js.
