Poorly edited, didn't find as inspirational as I'd hoped.

I loved using this book to help me prepare for Advent. Often God uses time to teach us, and it is the lesson that we most don't want to experience. Waiting is hard, and it is helpful to remember that God is at work even then. The darkness of Advent that leads up to the newness of Christ is the perfect time to remember to find God even there. I recommend this book to anyone looking to go deep into Advent but especially for those who, like me, have just gone through or are currently going through trying times. Because God is there too.

From the forward, by Kimberlee Conway Ireton:
"Come, Lord Jesus.
Come into this world that is broken and beaten and weary and wounded and angry. Come shelter the poor, bruised, but still oh so beautiful planet beneath the shadow of Your healing wings.
Come in the stillness of night and the garish light of noon. Come in the mountains and on the shore and by the streams and in the cities. Come to my city, my town, my neighbourhood, my house.
Come to me.
Come to my heart, my life. Walk inside. Look around with the holy love that is always in Your eyes. Do what You do when you come--turn everything upside down, turn me inside out so I can see myself clearly and run to You for shelter from my own ugliness and shame. Come lift my hanging head so I can see that You love me still. Come let me see myself reflected in Your gaze of love that makes me lovely.
Come, transform me, refine me, purify me in the fire of Your holy love. Come, fill my aching soul with Your love and gentleness and power. Come, let me live surrendered to You, surrounded by You, inspirited with You.
Come, let Your life flow through my veins.
Come, Lord Jesus."

If any of that resonated with your heart, then make a note to pick this up next year.
