I absolutely love this series. The small town humor and people are so true to form. I am sad I have to wait for book 14.

Excellent

This is a superb series that I love. They make me laugh cry and think. Everything one needs from a good book.

Charming as always

Again, I'm clearly a fan of Bellingwood since this is the 13th book of the series but I found this story a bit too contrived, even for Bellingwood!

These books are easy escapism that are mostly dialogue, they'll never win any awards but I don't think they really aim to. There's a large fan base that enjoys the charm and innocence of this series and so the formula repeats itself and appeals to those who love Polly.

In this book though I wasn't enthralled by the main plot. In fact, it was a bit ridiculous. It was nice for Beryl to be the focus when she's usually only there for comedic effect but that's probably my only positive point. The secondary storyline involving Heath, however, was relatable, realistic and emotive. I wish that was the only storyline of this book!

Bellingwood is definitely Marmite, I'm still a lover not a hater. Onto book 14 I go with high hopes.
