Cliff Chiang is one of my favorite comics artists and this book is gorgeous. Not just in art, but also in the design of the physical package. It's a sturdy hardcover, but also oversized so you can just drown in the pages.

Cool story, too, set in the future after the death of Batman. An older Catwoman, recently released from prison, puts together a team for one last heist: infiltrating the Batcave to uncover the meaning of Batman's last words to her.

I had marked this to read what seems like ages ago mainly cause of Chiang. I enjoyed seeing “old” villains and think about how they might age out of their occupations. Who knows if this was canon of some sort, but the to me alternate reality when Batman died and Two-Face is mayor and reformed was also an engaging facet of the book. I associate Chiang with art but he did both and somehow the art wasn’t the main draw for me. Overall recommended for (old) Batman fans.

I was late to the party and only realized this series was happening around issue 4 or 5. My lovely comic book store, while sold out of the earlier issues, promised to get me the book when it was published. And it. Is. Fantastic.

We rarely see what aging heroes look like, and I haven't personally read a story of an aging woman who is perhaps not a hero, but masked.

The story felt extremely relevant - we have class wars, concerns about the authority of police, and privacy on a constitutional level.

Truly great, and I loved the generational references to various characters. Recommend to fans of any and all iterations of Batman.

A masterpiece! This is not only a love letter to DC Comics history, but a stark reflection of our current political times. Catwoman is released from prison 10 years after the death of Batman. Can she adjust to the new world order? Can she rely on old friends? Can she save her city?
Writer/artist/colorist/letterer Cliff Chiang (of Wonder Woman and Paper Girls) makes quite the statement with this project!
