I’m sad that this was the last and final book of the Dreamland Billionaires’ series, because it is a cute world, and now it is over.
I think this book discussed more struggles and difficult topics compared to the other two books, all centering around addiction. I really love Cal’s character and the enthusiastic person he is, but it was also frustrating to read sometimes. Every time something went wrong he started drinking again, to the point where even I thought he was never going to get sober. But I think this is written like it on purpose, to give it a more realistic feel. I do still wonder because Cal centers his own happiness and reason to be sober a lot around Alana and Cami, that it can also be dangerous to be so dependent on that. But in the end, it works.
Alana also is a strong woman; Cami is super cute. I liked the flashbacks but wish there were more. I would have loved to read about the summer six years ago when they got together. Alana also is sometimes quick to forgive though, but I get it; who could resist Cal?
All in all it is a super fast read, and at times I didn’t want to put it down (the whole series has this kinda effect; for some reason, you fly through it). The ending is mega cute and wraps it all up nicely, and it is cozy to see every brother with his forever family. I don’t know whether this one or the second one is my favorite, but maybe one day I will read them all again; because I can see it being my comfy reads I want to revisit sometime.
I liked how Cal wanted to give Alana everything she dreamed of. Cal does have an alcohol addiction but he was trying to get better for her which made him realize that I can’t lose her so he put in the effort to get better for their relationship and for the relationship he has with Camila. Camila was so adorable. He bought her a bakery. Tell me that isn’t pure love. Adorable

This was a LONG book. There was a ton of build up before things finally got going. I understand why it was needed, but it was still LONG. HUGE trigger warnings in this book for addiction and alcoholism. This is not a light glossing over the topic…this is in-your-face, fairly realistic of what it is like to deal with addiction.
