After loving The fine Print and Terms and conditions i'd surprised this one was such a let down especially that it was the wrap up of the series and i was SO HYPED for Cal's book
FMC : 2.5/5
MMC : 3.5/5
Tropes :
-second chance romance
- single mom
- small town romance
- no ow / om drama
- no cheating
- no celibacy during time apart ( they were both with ow/om)
Tw : drug addiction , alcoholism, death of family , emotional abuse , mention of miscarriage .
What i disliked :
- the writing was very cringey and i had to skim entire scenes because of how childish they were , the author made the characters seem like they were in their late teens / early twenties and not a 33 year old man and a 30 year old mother.
- the book was WAY too long , it could have been 100 to 150 pages shorter
- Lana really annoyed because despite writing about how strong she was i didn't feel it nor believe it , i don't like to compare but in terms and conditions when LA sais Iris was string and smart and resilient i FELT IT it was SHOWN but in this book it was all words no actions , i wouldn't call her weak or a doormat but she was definitely not strong
- one more thing that was said and not shown was her bond with her daughter Cami , i felt like Cal had more of a connexion with her than her actual mother
-after all cal's done i feel like Lana took him back way too soon it wasn't even 3 months and she already jumped into a sexual and romatic relationship with him despite having a daughter who might get hurt , now im not asking for grovelling because the book isn't about that and Cal did redeem himself but she was all words no actions again in terms of being with him
- the single parent trope , now this one's on me and 100% a personal preference not that it made the book bad, i'm just not a fan of kids in books ( apart from a few exceptions )
What i liked :
- how strong the Kane brothers'bond was and ,it showed how Declan and Rowan grew through their relationships , i also adored Iris's friendship with Cal and Zahra being the menacing sunshine she is
-Cal's journey to sobriety , realizing that change comes from him , no amount of force to get him to clean and sober up from his brothers and grandfathee will ever stick unless he chose to do it , the chapter of him being in Rehab was amazing and i wish we got more of that instead of it being given half a chapter in a ridiculously long book
- The towns people having Lana's back and Violet and Delilah and wyatt being such amazing friends and not the type we see often who take the Mmc's side instead of their friend
- the message that screwed up parents don't determin their children , it hurt my heart whenever anyone called cal a failure and told him all he'll ever amount to is being worthless , his conversations with his dad made me want to put Seth's face through a brick wall , and i'm so happy he got closure, Declan and Rowan might not have needed it but Cal did in order to move on and understood his father's were one's fault but his own
- brady kane the REAL main character of the dreamland series and special mention to Leo for being the best sidekick
I thought Cal would end up being my fav but Rowan and Declan are still at the top , i guess i like my men broody and grumpey

I've been struggling to write a review for this book because I just couldn't put it into words. Fuck it, I'll make it very simple.
I liked this book because it felt more serious and complicated than the previous two. I love Cami, I found her really sweet and funny. I love that the previous characters are also present in this book. I'm also happy to hear that Declan finally got into therapy, lol, about time.
It didn't get a higher rating because it felt like it dragged on longer than necessary.
Now that I've finally read the last book, we can rate them now:
Men: Cal > Rowan > Declan
Women: Iris > Alana > Zahra
Books: Final Offer > Terms & Conditions > The Fine Print
In terms of spice: TFP > T&C > FO

I’ve read this book over 20 times and guess what? I still cry. Every. Damn. Time.
This isn’t just a second chance romance. This is a let-me-drown-in-my-own-tears romance. This is "he never stopped loving her but also self-sabotaged so hard I wanted to throw the book at his face while hugging him" kind of pain.
Callahan Kane is the love of my life, the bane of my existence, and the human embodiment of “I’m fine” while clearly not being fine
