Reread of an old favourite. Still excellent and thought provoking. Absolutely love this book.

I really love this book. Why my admiration for it is, I am not able to form into spoken word. I believe it is best described as "haunting". It has disturbed me; not negatively, but in the same way someone is disturbed from sleep. As if I was deep in slumber before, and this book led me to being awake.

I must admit that I was surprised at the small size of the novel, for some reason, I had expected it to have a larger presence. I was also mildly startled at the narrative style, but it proved to be one of my favourite aspects of the book. I enjoyed reading the story through the eyes of Charlie. his view on the events that emerged really cemented my thoughts on the novel.

There were a few questions I had throughout the story, some of which were never answered. Surprisingly, (Due to my boundless curiosity) I find myself at peace with that. The only regret I have gained from reading this book is not having read it sooner. This book has shaken me in ways I am not able to comprehend myself.
