honestly idk what to say cuz there were lots of things that did not work in this book but overall i was quite invested because if i were a magician i too would be a pretentious academic who thought she was better than everyone. the ending was a little rushed and some of the characters were a bit shallow but i liked the writing and the main character wrote her doctorate on binding a demon into the sleeves of tattoos on her arms so im obsessed with that. also moral of the story: never trust a man even if ur bisexual
