Butch's book! Man I love him. I really was pushing for him to get together with a certain other member but alas, I was happy with the outcome!

Still in need of just junk fluff...nothing intellectually engaging need apply to my reading list ATM. I really enjoyed this book more than the others I think. I was engaged in the story and I am glad to see a bit of the sexism that still rankles me with this series getting addressed.

I loved Butch's journey, not a big fan of the relationship/constant miscommunication

This was probably my least favorite so far, though it wasn't bad by any means. There was just a tsunami of emo coming from the h/h... which isn't really my thing. (It didn't help, either, that I truly disliked Marissa from the first book.)

But the development of the overall story was fantastic, and the secondary cast was truly a joy (they always are in this series).

And Scribe Virgin update: eh, she still irritates me. She's still only interested in obedient servants, and that chafes. I think that, as soon as they manage to off the Omega, they should off her too. They'd definitely be better off. (And her name is still stupid.)

Second read of Lover Revealed.

When I first read these books years ago Z was without a doubt my favourite brother, but how could I not fall in love with Butch back in the day as I have on this read!! Omg I adore him!

I can’t get enough of this series, so many more books to go. I’ve tried to have a break in between to read something else and I just can’t get into anything as my head wants to be in this series.

loving every single brother and their shellan’s. Straight onto V’s book.

I was actually quite disappointed with this book. I would give it two stars, but I like Butch too much to rate it that low.

So, like everyone else that read the series from the beginning, I liked the budding Butch/Marissa pairing that was touched on in the first three books. It had nice potential. However, when it came time for them to have the spotlight in Lover Revealed, I feel like I was it wasn't handled very well.

I did not like Marissa in the 4th book. For about 300 pages, I just wanted her to... disappear, honestly. I get that she wasn't very versed in sexuality and the way the world really works outside of the aristocracy, but she was fine to me in the other books. In fact, I was dying for her to get with Butch because I knew he was going to be good for her. It was just everything that lead up to them finally getting together and Butch finding out he had vampire blood in him that got on my nerves. The other pairings in the other books had their misunderstandings that would leave them separated and arguing for a few chapters, but half the issues between Butch and Marissa made me roll my eyes.

I'll give it 3 stars because Ward did redeem Marissa for me a little bit because the innocent little vampire put on her big-girl shoes and is now running a business for a good cause. I just hated that her self-esteem was so ruined for the worst reasons. It almost didn't make sense.

I don't know if anyone else thinks this, but do any of you feel like V and Butch have a stronger relationship than Butch and Marissa? The way the scenes with the two guys are written just feels much more intimate to me than anything I've read with him and Marissa. I kind of wish Butch and V had been Ward's exceptional male pairing - they definitely need to have mad monkey sex! It's well overdue. :)

I have read this series so many times. Now I listen to the audiobooks. I am always entertained.

Lover Revealed reveals what has happened to Butch thanks to the scheming of the Omega. Lover Revealed gives up hope that the Lessers will be gone for good in the future. Lover Revealed is where Butch finally discovers a place to belong.

12/11/20 Couldn't resist binge listening to the BDB. so freaking good.

02/06/23 Lover Revealed is becoming my favorite warrior book. I am so happy that I purchased all of the books on audio so I can binge listen each year before I read the new release.
