This was literally bad I’m sorry

I genuinely love every ashley poston book I’ve read, including this one. It was such a fun concept and really challenges my realism brain. The ending was heartbreaking but satisfying. Only 4 stars because it just didn’t give me that 5 star feeling and took me a bit to get into.

SUCH a cute book

What did I just read? And why did I finish it?

I wanted to love it. I did, but nope. Not even a little. I didn't hate the characters, but I didn't like any of them either. I'm annoyed with the Liam issue, like leaving her the week before the wedding was enough you didn't have to add a cheating component. Liam popping up at the end, let's be real even if you are fine all of a sudden with the scenario, I sure as hell wouldn't want the girl my ex cheated on me with in my book club, hard no. The whole third act separation was also dumb like go be with someone else? I'm totallyyyyy fine with that, um no. The ending was cute enough, but this book had so much potential with it's premise and it just fell flatter than a bad Hallmark movie.

i LOVED this book! it was such a fun read and i loved all of the characters! wish i could spend a day in eloraton

3.5⭐️

Okay this book is one of those books you want to just crawl into and live there. Which is basically what the FMC did and I want it.

Very cute small town romance, with lots of tidbits in growth and finding oneself. It goes through a lot of tough themes and I like how it was resolved in the end.

I did feel like it was a little too insta-love and definitely took a star off for all the “minty” eye mentions.
But overall a solid comfy read.

Is not that it isn't a good book, I was just expecting more of it. I didn't really connect with the main character that much. It still was interesting and I was curious about how everything would work out, but it didn't connect with my soul. I did love how it homaged dead authors and reminded us that they're still here, as long as someone remembers their work.
