This book unfortunately was not as interesting as I thought it would be. Which makes me really sad because I love all of Kassie Wests work! This was by no means bad. I did finish it in two days! Granted I was listening to the audiobook but still! I will say the banter between these two love birds is great, I did enjoy watching them gradually become friends and then lovers. Ch 25: First kiss

I love reading Kasie West’s books and her latest is no exception. What was different about this story was the timeline over which it took place. Over the various events in this small town, our main characters not only meet and interact but eventually fall in love. I also liked how the flower theme and meanings of various flowers were interwoven into the story. I do wish we could have seen more interaction between Sophie and Andrew then only nine times in the story

Sophie Evans. A highschool student who works for the local flower boutique in her small hometown.

Andrew Hart. The son of a well known chef who is visiting the town for a year to help a catering business flourish.

When both Andrew and Sophie meet there is constant bickering between the two, and when they realize that they have to be at all of the same events together for the next year their situationship becomes even more complicated. One year. Nine events. Will these two be able to handle it?

I found this book as an ARC at my local thrift store and when I read the back and opened up to the beautiful and funny flower pages I knew I had to pick it up and it definitely did not disappoint. I loved the banter and forced proximity between the two main characters and it made me not be able to put the book down because I could wait to find out what would happen between them.

As for the writing I loved that it was easy to read and could also be entertaining for all ages. It was also very enjoyable for it to be written only by each event. I love when books are written this way because it wastes no time and yet everything is still cohesive despite not having all of that time being written and you're not left feeling like you're missing out on anything.

Definitely recommend it if you're looking for a quick and wholesome read!

This wasn’t my favorite Kasie West Book. I just didn’t love the characters and could not get into the story the same way I have some of her others.

It's the first time I was not fully invested in a Kasie West book. I'm not sure what it was lacking, it felt that I read the premise and expected something completely different. It had more dialogue than what I am used to, to the point where it was almost a full chapter of just conversation. Don't get me wrong I absolutely love that as well but it left no time for other issues that should have had further details, especially with their family dynamics. I don't know, I liked the book but didn't love it.

Huh...I usually love Kasie West's books, but this one couldn't hold my attention. I had to force myself to finish and didn't really feel the spark between the MCs.

This was a cute feel-good teen romance story.
Sophie works for a floral arrangement company and makes deliveries and makes sure to go to the events. In doing so, she meets Andrew, who is the son of a famous TV chef who is training people around the country to have growth in their businesses.
They keep seeing one another but seem pretty annoyed by that fact.

It was cute. It took me a while to feel connected to the main character, as she wasn't that likeable and was a bit selfish, but she grew over time.
