tbf i’m not usually a big short stories girly so going into this i knew it probably wasn’t gonna be my cup of tea but i kinda hated this book. i understood the theme the author was trying to weave among the stories but it just felt so disconnected and all of the characters felt really dry. like they would continue to walk into bad situations fully knowing it was gonna hurt them and proceed to acknowledge their traumas but literally show no emotion about it. idk just not my vibe
Writing is excellent throughout but as with most collections it was a bit of a mixed bag for me. Several brilliant bangers, a handful of good but nothing amazing and then a good 3 or 4 that were way above my comprehension that I just had no idea what to make of

Enjoyed these short stories. Still sitting with the slow poisoning with a drink made just for troublemaking women.
