So romantic
A wonderful story focusing more on a cure for a virus. I thought this book was more romantic with both Shylah (Peony) & Draden. I can't wait to see who is next to getting their book. This series is getting more interesting with these characters and now I'm all caught up I am really anxious for the next book Lethal Game.

I wonderful addition to this fun series even after 14 previous novels! Christine Feehan is still able to provide a unique experience with the couples that we meet in the Ghostwalker series. Readers familiar with this series have met Draden in previous novels, as he's a member of the team settling in the Louisiana Bayou that we've been following for the past few novels, but Draden's background is not something that had been previously shared. We're in a similar boat with Shylah, the previous two novels "Power Game" and "Covert Game" involved the two women closest to Shylah, so we've heard about her previously.
I loved that this story had such a twist right when this couple meets. Draden has been injected with a HIGHLY contagious disease and is in the midst of taking revenge on the terrorist cell that did it. Shylah has been on the trail of the developers of said disease and is impressed while observing Draden work. What she doesn't know when she decides to rescue him from drowning is that he's infected. Now, they must hold up together and watch as the disease ravages through them. Neither expected to have such an instantaneous connection to each other. This developing relationship while in the cusp of dying, grows fast as they try to fit in all the experiences they won't get to have over a long life together.
Just a wonderful book that I've read twice already! Loved everything about it. I received this novel as an ARC from Netgalley.

Pretty entertaining story if you can get past the "I'm dying but I want a big wedding in the jungle" part.

This story revolves around a few days in the jungle while the Ghostwalkers fight a deadly, hemorrhagic virus set to be the next deadly weapon on the world stage.
Draden and Shylah meet while both on similar missions dealing with the same people. They become infected with the virus and race the clock to take out as many enemies as possible, get as much information on the virus to Team 4, and try not to have too much hope of living. They fall for each other, both feeling in awe and protective of the other. Can they make it out alive with the enemy dead?
This story gave great insight into Draden but the whole virus plot felt not quite fleshed out or real, in a suspended reality way of most fiction. I was invested in Draden because I’m invested in the Ghostwalker teams. But his story felt hurried and unfinished, basically rough around the edges.

Another action-packed Ghost Walker book. Great interaction between Shayla and Draden. I loved the slow build, and the sex scenes were steaming!

This was very cool
I CAN TELL YOU THAT I ENJOYED this book very much. It was part romance, part showing us some endangered species, and I found that very awesome. Also showing us that you can hope, even when things look hopeless.

Feehan’s Ghostwalker series has been my favorite romance series since the beginning. Whereas many other favorites have fallen to the wayside Feehan remains a mainstay and I always know what I’m getting. So when I see a new release in this series it is a must buy. With Toxic Game, I’m wishing I had waited for the paperback instead of paying retail. I just didn’t connect or feel the warm fuzzies like I’ve done with her other characters. For once I agree the pair fell too fast into insta-love—from the moment their eyes connected as he was leaping over her it seems. Maybe the exclusion of an immediate threat to Shyla was the missing component because there seemed to be too much down time between narratives and came off a bit boring.
