I like the change in this book.
The slow burn, the romance, that they were infected... It was a nice ride.

Overall disappointing. I didn't feel a connection between the H and h. There was also a lack of tension or baddie and I found myself skimming through a lot of the "action" scenes as they didn't feel high stakes.
This was a pretty typical GhostWalkers book and I always like this series. Some of the language at the beginning threw me (he just thought she was so adorable, she just loved that he blah blah blah), but after the first few chapters, that calmed down. I liked the plot and I like the kick ass women of the series, including this one!
Toxic Game by Christine Feehan is the 15th book in the GhostWalker series. I enjoyed this one. Draden and Shylah are two of Whitney's experiments who are fighting to stop a virus from taking killing people all over the world. Their love story was quick of course but still a slow burn love story in a way. Fast paced.
I like Feehan but she can be hit or miss for me. She makes some writing and love stories seem really unhealthy. This one was not the most dysfunctional and was fully consensual.

3.5 Stars!
This is a great, sweet, slow burning addition the the Ghostwalker series. A whole new plot arch has been introduced here that makes me excited for what’s next with the entire series. For a long time, this has been my least favourite series by this author but I’m totally back on board with it. I can’t wait for the next few books. Who KNEW Christine Feehan could do a slow burn?! Yes this was a little repetitive but I liked this.

The best part about this book was definitely the banter between Shylah and Draden. Those two were hilarious!
Another great installment in the series. I've been curious about Draden from the beginning and excited to read his story. I enjoyed the setting and the different story line. Shylah is a great heroine and the perfect counterpart for Draden.
After finishing I promptly went back and re-read Spider Game and will probably continue on with Power Game.
